Girls’ Brigade are not meeting at present, however, you can still complete activities at home, using GB@home resources:
Kensington Methodist Church is home to the 26th Liverpool Girls’ Brigade Company. Our aim is to give girls a good Christian grounding.
We meet on a Friday Night during term time, starting at 6.00pm.
There are four sections in GB (catering for different ages). Each section work toward badges, which we give out at a special awards night at the end of our session in June.
Badge work is varied and fun – it includes cooking, dancing, craft and games. We enjoy fellowship together, having devotions with each section which are relevant to today’s world.
We try to take our older girls camping once a year, allowing them to try different activities which they may not have chance to try otherwise.
Explorer’s 3.1/2 – 7yrs from 6.00pm – 7.30pm
Juniors 7yrs – 11yrs from 6.00pm – 8.30pm
Seniors 11yrs – 14yrs from 6.00 – 9.30pm
Brigader/Young Leaders 15yr plus. From 6.00p – 9.30pm
Our girls are encouraged, once they are 15yrs, to start young leader training to develop them further in Girls Brigade. They can also do their Queens Badge.
If you are interested in joining GB, then please pop along one Friday night.
We’ll be adding some photos here shortly!
